The 1^st Nizhni Novgorod State University Open Badminton Tournament – Rector’s Cup

The tournament is open for students and faculty from all universities. Players who have finished their studies can also enter. The tournament will be held in 4 classes: A,B, С and D, in accordance with the WBF rules, in Nizhni Novgorod (one of Russia’s largest cities located at the confluence of the Volga and the Oka rivers, 400 km east of Moscow) from Sunday, June 24 to Sunday, July 1, 2007.

Program:

24.06 Arrival in Nizhni Novgorod or Moscow (Transfer from the airports in Moscow and Nizhni Novgorod is provided)

25.06 City tour. Practice.

26.06 1^st day of the tournament

27.06 2^nd day of the tournament

28.06 Finals. Boat trip along the Volga river. Night party with discotheque.

29.06 – 30 .06 Weekend at the Summer Sport Students Camp on the bank of the river 80 km from Nizhni Novgorod. (Please bring your bathing suit, trunks, bathing towel, etc.)

01.07. Departure from Nizhni Novgorod.

Costs:

The participation fee is € 100 per person regardless of the number of categories you participate in. The fee includes the following:

• Living in the students hostel in rooms for 2 or 3 persons

• Registration fee

• Breakfast, lunch, dinner

• All the entertainments including the weekend in the camp

• Trophies

No prize money is available.

Shuttles for practice: Aerosensa 40 shuttles will be available in Nizhni Novgorod for € 15 per dozen.

Please send us an entry list including the participants' name, sex, classes and categories; the name, address and telephone number of the contact person in your team.

We also need the following data of all participants (see the attached registration form):

Full name, date and place of birth, citizenship, permanent address, place of work or studies with address and telephone, passport number and dates of issue and expiry, the place where you will be applying for your visa (Russian Embassy or Consular Office).

Photocopies of the first passport page and of the insurance policy should be also enclosed

(these can be scanned and sent as attached files or faxed).
